PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

     Kaveh Movazzafi is a Licensed Residential Builder, an experienced Project Manager Professional (PMP), a skilled registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)و and a knowledgeable Real Estate advisor (Realtor®) with extensive experience in the construction industry, both in Canada and abroad. His broad expertise provides a complete package for everybody willing to make the most out of his/her investment in this business. He has designed and supervised a wide range of commercial and residential construction projects, including steel, concrete, and wood-frame buildings.

     Kaveh joined the construction industry in the early 1990’s while studying Civil Engineering at one of the top five prestigious universities in Tehran. His first position was project coordinator for a concrete structure contractor. His reliability, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure helped him to advance quickly.

     After graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1993, Kaveh played key roles in construction design and supervision including a ten-storey hotel and a fourteen-storey condominium. He completed designs and calculations for over forty concrete and steel structure buildings. He also supervised the construction of several multi-level residential developments. Notably, Kaveh was a supervisory team member in a large renovation project that included 120 houses, two schools, a warehouse, and a sports centre damaged in a massive earthquake.

     In cooperation with general contractors, Kaveh prepared, planned, and updated project schedules, monthly pay estimates, escalations and project progress reports for several infrastructures and civil works. He estimated prices and submitted tender packages, including prequalification packages, for various local and international bids.

     In 2002, Kaveh moved to Canada as a skilled worker and settled in Toronto. Since then he has helped individuals, general contractors, home-builders, high-rise developers and construction managers with their supervisory and management needs. He has provided a wide range of quality services to his employers and clients including estimating and tender submission, scheduling, rough and finishing supervision, site coordination, and project management. Kaveh is experienced in residential wood-frame multi-family apartments, concrete high-rise buildings, high-end single-family custom homes, and other commercial projects such as schools, libraries, theatre, community centre, childcare facility, and hotel.

     As a milestone in his career history, he managed to complete two high-rise buildings with a total number of 491 units including 20+ high-end penthouses. He was in charge to schedule tasks and coordinate trades and tens of people at a time during the rough construction and finishing stages to meet tight occupancy deadlines.

     Kaveh relocated to BC in 2008, where he continued to provide professional services to his clients/employers. Since then, he has mainly focused on wood-frame multi-family apartments and single family custom homes in Vancouver and Alberta in addition to LEED-certified buildings.

     Kaveh started his Real Estate advisory in Toronto in 2003, and developed it after moving to Vancouver. He writes and translates professional articles to help his clients with making a right decision, considering their best interest for their Real Estate needs. Kaveh offers Real Estate and Construction service package to his clients that brings them thousands of dollars saving.

     Kaveh takes time to keep his training and certification up-to-date. For example, he has completed several Engineering, project management, construction, building code courses, and Real Estate researches and education, in addition to a wide range of health & safety programs at the Construction Safety Association of Ontario (CSAO). He obtained the Work Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) of Ontario certificate in 2007 and LEED Green Associate certificate in 2011.

     Kaveh obtained his Master of Engineering degree through the University of British Columbia’s Project and Construction Management program in 2011.

     Kaveh has been a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineers and Geoscientists BC since 2013. He also achieved to obtain his Project Manager Professional (PMP) certificate in 2013.

     Kaveh’s decades of experience and professionalism help people to reach what they are planning. He can help clients with their projects from purchasing the lot and pre-construction stage all the way to final occupancy and providing 2-5-10 year home warranty, and eventually selling.
